As we all know, the first World War was a hard War that caused the death of almost a whole generation. The war was between the Allied powers and the central powers and the war began in 1914 and cease in 1918. Ive chosen three quotes which I find really represent the reality of the first world war. The first quote is nearly nationalism and how the people thought about being useful to their country. At the beginning of the war everyone was arouse to fight for their country and they felt honored to do so. The propaganda had a lot of influence. The second quote is about how pointless the war was and how the soldiers were brutally killed. During the war, and especially during the battle of Somme, it became clear to the soldiers that the war was pointless and it was just killing men massively and brutally, they had been through the thrash time of their life.
And the last quote is about how the people began to find the hard truth about the war being unsportsmanlike and cruel. Almost everyone effected that the war had to stop and that the politicians werent stipendiary attention to that. The war was not as they thought it would be. So the first world war began as something exciting in which the men wanted to fight for their country, this changed when the soldiers went through the hardest time and run aground out about the horrors of he war, eventually people realized the truth about the war being beyond evil.
