Conflict is an experience that occurs in our human life cycle, managing these contraventions involves tools and strategies that we assure to relieve intrapersonal and interpersonal encounter whether we are faced in an intragroup or intergroup situation. My personal experiences included interpersonal appointment with my significant different, where our perceived differences and environment played an important division in our employment. This essay will discuss the causes of contravention and how it was employ to my own intrapersonal conflict experience. It will look at Eunson (2007) conflict spiral and the agency conflict of my personal experience developed, wherefore and how parties involved behaved the way they did when faced with conflict including recognising own patterns of conflict behaviour and repartee and how the fight flight and assertive response is a crucial tool in determining the way a conflict can be resolved.
According to Vallence and McMillian (1987), conflict is a form of relating or interacting where we find ourselves (either as individuals or groups) under some sort of threat to our personal or collective goals. These goals are usually to do with our interpersonal wants (as cited in Condliffe, 2008, p.3).
