Mask of the Red Death by Edgar Allen Poe takes a deep look into the human psychological science and uncovers the very trepidation of its core. Everyone business concerns something different whether it is spiders or small spaces; in this it is clear that denial of remainder and how to cheat it is on everyones mind. This story is a metaphor about life and death and the helplessness of mankind to elude the grip of death. The Red Death represents, both factually and metaphorically, death. Regardless of how striking a castle, how bounteous the attire, or how succulent the food, no person, not even a prince, can escape death. This apparent reality is brought to life with symbolism and a creative style that captivates the reader. Death cannot be outwitted it is fatal no matter how much you try to fight it off.
