How Aziz influences the novel as a whole
Aziz the man of extremes and contradictions. He is what Forester portrays as the typical Indian. Aziz is light hearted and charismatic. He frequently changes opinion and preoccupations without any warning. He is not to be considered a stable mood kind of guy. Azizs childish qualities are supported by his sense of humor. This quality is however underweight by is ironic disposition toward his English superiors. Not solely is his emotion interchangeable but his occupation as well. He serves as both a physician and poet during Passage to India.
Aziz is a very eccentric persona. He prefers long social exchanges and is around never look. He likes to lace words with underlying feelings and uses a great deal of indirect statements.
